to whoever invented baby shower games:(Saturday’s post)

Posted on

You sir/madame know how to have a good time! No joke. There is something that is just so silly and fun about sitting in a church basement on a Saturday afternoon, drinking Belinis(champaign, peach nectar, and a smidge of grenadine… yum!), and trying to free a  little plastic baby from the center of a large ice cube by any means necessary. The prizes were awesome soaps from Bath & Body Works, candles, crocheted kitchen towels, and lottery tickets for the gambling grannies in attendance. I scored a totally sweet bottle of Basil and Lime soap that smells fresh and divine. All this celebration was in anticipation of the arrival of my brother’s baby. She debuts December 23 and as the time gets closer the whole family is a buzz with excitement. We haven’t had a new baby that we will get to see all the time in years… even then they were just cousins. This little lady is going to be my first niece ever! I’m going to be Auntie Bee! I can’t wait!!!

soon-to-be Auntie Bee!

About Bridget

One day, Johnny Cash said that he was "...gunna write a tear stained letter..." If it was good enough for The Man in Black, its good enough for me. I love the idea of a letter and, though I send and receive so few of them in my daily life, I still feel that they are a great way to communicate. Especially for someone who has nerves that can sometimes malfunction. A letter allows me to say everything that I need and want to say. I am in love with letters. That makes every letter that I pen a "love" letter. Even that nasty one that I wrote to my X-best friend in the seventh grade. <3
